CNN's GPS - Taliban as Terrorists?

Very good discussion. Fareed Zacharia brings important perspectives to the forefront and generates thoughtful questioning and discussions. This is an area I've been wanting to hear in public discourse since 9/11.  So I was pleased to see this show.

It is not a comfortable subject.  Both the Taliban and Al Qaeda support behaviors that are totally objectionable to Western values. There are significant differences between the fundamentalist Islamic practices defined by the Taliban and the Jihadist's justification of terrorist activities in support of a global war against Western cultures. There are many moral and ethical issues to be discussed in the global forum. Sending Predators into a cultural enclave are likely to cause the the people to take on the jihadist mentality. How does the world help the fundamentalist Islamists learn civilized qualities, such as proper treatment of women and girls, while maintaining the values that are so important to their religion? Separation of church and state is a fundamental concept for Westerners, but a strange concept to Islamists.

This is a good 17 minute beginning of the process.
